The PSVR headset will be launched next year for the PlayStation 5 and will contain OLED screens

The PlayStation 5 is on the release of the all-new PSVR headset for the PlayStation 5 for the year 2022.

According to a new Bloomberg report (via Kotaku), a new PSVR PlayStation 5 headset will be on the way next year. While the original reports didn’t specifically mention the headset, they didn’t mention the PSVR PlayStation 5 headset. It noted that the new VR headset will use Samsung Display’s OLED panels in the next generation of PSVR glasses, and that Although a specific release date has not been confirmed, the headset will likely launch its “holiday period” for 2022.

We already had official confirmation that a new headset is on the way when earlier this year the PlayStation 5 revealed that the PSVR PlayStation 5 headset is in development. While we don’t know what the headset itself looks like just yet, we’ve seen PSVR PlayStation 5 consoles for the “next generation of VR.” The controllers are said to take advantage of haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and finger touch detection.

Talking about the development of PSVR PlayStation 5, PlayStation said: “We are taking what we have learned since the launch of PSVR on PlayStation 4 to develop a next-generation VR system that enhances everything from accuracy and field of view to tracking and input. We are taking what we have learned since the launch of PSVR on PlayStation 4 to simplify setup and improve everything from accuracy and field of view to tracking and input. Ease of use, while enabling a high definition visual experience.”

It has also been reported that the headset itself will be able to display 4K visuals and gaze tracking, which could certainly help many gamers with more precise control. As for 4K visual rumors, the rumored OLED screens will definitely help in presenting a clearer picture to the users.

However, until more details come out of Sony, we have to take this information with a pinch of salt. However, if Astro Bot: Rescue Mission from Team Asobi is one of the best PSVR games, can we see a follow-up to the next-gen PSVR PlayStation 5? The studio recently revealed that it’s working on a new project, and given the way it likes to experience and make the best of PlayStation hardware, fingers crossed that it will be given a chance to show off the capabilities of the new headset.
